5 Thought-Provoking Themes for Your Next Dinner Party
|
|
If you’ve heard of what we do at & the Table, you know that our concept is simple – it’s six women, around a table, and all come solo. Each table you host (or attend) has a theme and a question to make your conversations flow easily. We made it this way intentionally: to make sure that all women can find common ground, even if they're very different.
This article is your inspiration point to find dinner themes that resonate with you and your next table – created by Sam, the founder of & the Table.
Your evening always start with a theme that best reflects your current season of life. It can be as simple as chatting about new foods you've been obsessed with, or something deeper, like seeking advice to help you navigate turbulent life changes.
Whether you’re hosting your first dinner with us, or you’ve been putting up tables for a long time – you may find yourself running out of ideas for your next gathering. Your theme sets the direction of the night, so it's important to have it planned all the way though – so take the themes as your inspiration, and create something that really resonates with you.
Uniquely Me & the Table
For women who hold physical or emotional traits that are uniquely them. Maybe this is something they didn’t always accept but it has grown to be something they love and would never change.
Mirror Mirror & the Table
The table is about looking in the mirror, loving yourself and putting yourself first because without a strong sense of self, you can’t grow into the strong woman you want to be.
Echoes & the Table
Reflect on the voices that have shaped you and the impact of your own voice. This table is about understanding your personal narrative and how it resonates with others.
Juggling Hats & the Table
Balancing the demands of family, career, and personal aspirations can be almost near impossible. This dinner explores the experiences of women juggling multiple roles and wearing many hats in her life. Speaking through the highs and lows and building a support for when she doesn’t feel like she can do it all.
The Butterfly Effect & the Table
Speaking to the theory that small actions can have far-reaching and unexpected impacts on life’s trajectory this evening’s table is going to emphasize the importance of seemingly minor decisions in your everyday life. What are the small actions you can take today that can have impact on your life tomorrow & how do you continue to build that as you get older.
